Elon Musk Enterprises Tesla is currently improving the Cyber truck’s electric motor. A few of early Cyber truck owners have received word from Tesla that, in order to improve efficiency and dependability for the motor swap, one of the electric motors on their vehicles would be replaced at their next service visit. As per a recent article published by Electrek, Tesla is currently improving the Cyber truck’s electric motor, and the company is informing early Cyber truck purchasers that a complimentary replacement of one of the motors will take place at the subsequent service visit.

A statement from Tesla was shared on the X platform by an early owner of a Cybertruck. Tesla asserts that it is performing research on early production units and that the replacement of these drive unit motors is solely being done to boost efficiency, as is demonstrated in the text.

A replacement program such as this one, however, seems to be a form of proactive soft recall for drive motors that may be undergoing excessive wear or being pushed out during early manufacturing, which could result in complaints down the road.
